MEET THE BLOGGER
Hi, I’m Tiffany... unapologetically obsessed with books. This blog is my personal reading journal where I track the books I read, the ones I buy (maybe too often), and everything in between. Think of it as a bookish diary. If you love stories, shelves full of TBRs, and honest thoughts on all things bookish, you’re in the right place. Let’s be book friends!

Wild Eyes by Elsie Silver

About The Book

Title: Wild Eyes
Author: Elsie Silver
Series: Rose Hill #2
Pages: 464
Genre: Small Town Romance
Rating: ★★★★★
A rugged mountain town seemed like the perfect escape from a life in shambles. But on day one, she ran full tilt into the world’s hottest single dad, and now all her plans are ruined.

As a chart-topping country singer with a recent streak of bad press, it’s hard for Skylar Stone to find any peace. But she finds it in Rose Hill. With a little boy and a little girl who steal her heart just as thoroughly as their dad.

Weston Belmont.

The man is a shameless flirt. He oozes confidence and masculinity in a way that’s downright distracting. And in bed? He’s addictive.

Everything with him is wild and impulsive, and Skylar is desperate to regain some control.

But no one has supported her like West does. And no one has ever made her feel as loved as he does either.

So, while Skylar’s brain says settling down with a small-town horse trainer is impossible…her heart says she’s right where she belongs.

Still, her life as a celebrity haunts her. It has the power to pull her and West apart.

She can see in his eyes that he wants her to stay. And she wants that too.

But she knows better than anyone that you don’t always get what you want.

My Review

Elsie Silver will always be a God-tier author for me. She can do no wrong. Come at me if you want, but she is perfect.

I usually don’t enjoy books with a famous main character. They often come across as arrogant or insufferable, which makes it hard for me to connect. But Elsie Silver managed to create a character I could relate to, even with her superstar lifestyle.

Skylar is a well-known singer who feels completely lost. She realizes that her parents care more about the money she brings in than about her as a person, and to make things worse, she discovers her father has been paying other famous men to date her. Determined to take back control of her life, she leaves to create her own album without her father’s involvement.

That’s how she ends up in Rose Hill. As a city girl, she is hilariously unprepared for small-town life. One of her first encounters is with a bear, which she foolishly tries to film herself petting for social media. West steps in before the wild animal makes her regret that choice.

Since she arrives in town earlier than expected and Ford hasn’t finished renovating his recording studio, Skylar has no place to stay. This leads to her moving in with West.

And let me tell you, I adored this story. Normally, kids in books drive me crazy. Not here. Ollie and Emmy were adorable and written exactly right for their ages. They added so much warmth to the story.

As for West, he was perfection. I have no notes. He pretended not to be starstruck just to help Skylar feel at ease in his home, and he let her meet his kids even though he had never introduced another woman to them. That small detail alone melted me.

Then there was one particular spicy scene. Normally, that trope isn’t my favorite. But when West did it, I swooned. It was filthy, it was hot, and I may have actually drooled for a second.

I honestly have nothing but good things to say about this book. It may just be my favorite Elsie Silver novel yet. Absolute perfection.
