MEET THE BLOGGER
Hi, I’m Tiffany... unapologetically obsessed with books. This blog is my personal reading journal where I track the books I read, the ones I buy (maybe too often), and everything in between. Think of it as a bookish diary. If you love stories, shelves full of TBRs, and honest thoughts on all things bookish, you’re in the right place. Let’s be book friends!

What makes you keep a book on your tbr?

If it's a book I purchased a couple of years ago and I still have not read it, I might unhaul it. But there are times I may keep it. It really all depends on if I have read from the author or not. That will almost always be the main factor on keeping unread books on my shelves.

I have been working on getting rid of books as I am buying books. I don't have space so I have to do something. I've been trying to get rid of as many as I can but I think I've hit a spot where I don't want to get rid of anything.

Find a random number generator, put in the number of books on your TBR and roll 5 times! Note down the book each number corresponds to on your list (or just pick 5 books at random off your TBR) and tell us: what made you add the book to your shelf—was it a cover add? Does it have your favourite tropes? How long has it been on your TBR? If it has been on your TBR for a long time, do you still want to read it or have you lost interest?

I am just going to random number generate my whole owned books and say if I've read the book or not... I'm being lazy :)

Mr. President by Katy Evans: I have actually read this one! Definitely not a cover buy. It's been on my shelves since 2016. I honestly can't tell you much about this book other than I apparently really liked it since I rated it four stars.

Tease by Melanie Harlow: I have not read this one... it was added to my tbr in 2022 so it's not been on there too long. I bought this one because I enjoy this author's writing. I couldn't tell you anything about this book though.

A Conjuring Of Light by V.E. Schwab: I read this one a few years ago! This book has been on my shelves since 2018 and I read it in 2019. It didn't sit very long before it was read and adored.

Forging Silver Into Stars by Brigid Kemmerer: I have also read this one! This was added to my shelves in 2022 and I also read it in 2022. I was in love with this author's books and was always quick to pick them up.

Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno Garcia: So I have attempted to read this one but soft dnfed it... I haven't tried picking it up since. Been on my shelves since 2020. I'm gonna need some convincing for this one.

How long do you typically keep books on your tbr?
