MEET THE BLOGGER
Hi, I’m Tiffany... unapologetically obsessed with books. This blog is my personal reading journal where I track the books I read, the ones I buy (maybe too often), and everything in between. Think of it as a bookish diary. If you love stories, shelves full of TBRs, and honest thoughts on all things bookish, you’re in the right place. Let’s be book friends!

An epic and unforgettable love story begins in Binding 13, the first in the international bestselling and TikTok-phenomenon The Boys of Tommen series, from Chloe Walsh.

He wants to save her. She wants to hide.

She's damaged. He's determined.

Fate brought them together. Love binds them.

Johnny Kavanagh is the definition of popular. He is an all-star rugby player with loads of friends, which means he should be enjoying the many perks of his life. But what people don't know is that he has been dealing with a painful injury that could halt the magnificent trajectory of his career. This means he has no time for distractions or mistakes. Especially not a girlfriend.

Shannon Lynch has been bullied all her life. She is shy and would rather hide herself away to make it through school. But when she arrives at Tommen College for a fresh start, she meets the notorious Johnny Kavanagh on her first day in a not-so-romantic way. What follows is a complicated friendship that turns into undeniable chemistry. It seems that Shannon won't be able to hold onto the anonymous status she once hoped for. But maybe that's alright?

Johnny won't give up on Shannon. No matter what it might cost them both.

My Review

So the first thing I’m going to say about this book… I’m reading it via audiobook and every single time the male narrator says “her” it sounds like he’s saying whore. I laugh every time. This has absolutely nothing to do with the book at all. Just thought I’d throw it in here.

I was very tempted to never read this series because the characters are very young and I’m not a fan of YA. Not gonna lie… I am pretending these characters are at least over the age of 18 because I feel like that’s how they are written. I don’t believe that they are meant to be 15-17 years old.

That is literally my only complaint about this book. This book would have been a five-star read if the author just wrote these characters in college.

I did not realize going into this book that it was going to deal with heavy topics. I think that each separate duology will have something heavy in them. I really enjoy books that have heavier topics in them. I believe it makes the books have more depth.

I was not aware how long this book was. The new published editions are kinda small but they have Bible pages. The audiobook took forever to read!

I really enjoyed this book and I’m definitely planning on picking up the rest of this series as this was such an easy and enjoyable read.
