Home Life
This week at home has been pretty chill. I spent almost a full day at home from work due to some health issues, nothing serious. I got some reading done and whatnot. I will say that my robot vacuum died on me and I'm terribly sad about it.
Other than work, nothing much happened. I did get something in the mail stating that I was nominated by some coworkers for associate of the year 😮, which is honestly shocking. I know I am not going to win but it's nice to know I was nominated for something.
My son got a positive referral at school. He got a 100% on a test and got some goodies for it. I also spent Saturday morning with him. Took him to the library and the park and treated us to some Wendy's. (Can I just say that Wendy's ghost pepper sauce is amazing 😋)
Sunday is Super Bowl day! I will definitely be reading while the game is on and watching the commercials and Usher.
Read(ing) This Week
House of Flame and Shadow by Sarah J. Maas: I am enjoying this read so much. I am taking my sweet, sweet time with it. Although, the amount of quick/dumb decisions everyone is doing... like what's going on that no one is using their brain 😓
The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix: So this is my first Hendrix book. I am enjoying it, it's definitely a genre I'm not used to. I kinda see myself getting more of his books.
New Books This Week
Behind the Net by Stephanie Archer: This book was honestly a pain to get here. When it first "arrived" it was an empty package. It finally got replaced and got here this week. I'm definitely very excited to read this one!
Powerless by Lauren Roberts: Everyone and their mother is talking about this book. I am kind of weary about going into this one... it's listed as YA on Goodreads and I honestly don't read a lot of YA anymore. I will hold off judgement until I read it though.
